Requirements
Must:
- Proven expertise in computer networking, specifically LAN installation and management.
- Practical experience with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with VPN configuration and management along with firewall setup.
- Background using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for issue tracking.
- Proficient in software troubleshooting and hardware diagnostics in a technical support setting.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Previous experience in help desk or IT support roles is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar are beneficial but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and uphold network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and LAN components.
- Troubleshoot network challenges related to LAN, VPN, firewall settings, and operating systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Deliver technical support for desktop and server environments using help desk tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy.
- Assist users with software troubleshooting across diverse platforms, including Microsoft Office and other enterprise software.
- Monitor network functionality and security, applying necessary updates or repairs to enhance system reliability.
- Manage user accounts and access permissions within network systems while adhering to security protocols.
- Accurately document network configurations, problems, and solutions for future reference.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently address complex technical issues while maintaining high customer service standards.
