Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Typically, 3-5 years of relevant experience in server management
- Must have hands-on experience with server hardware components (CPU, memory, power supply, GPU replacements, server construction)
- Experience with server swaps and deployments
- Proficient in replacing server parts (CPUs, memory, power supplies, GPUs, full server changes)
- Familiarity with water cooling systems for servers is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Linux
- Proven ability to follow a prescribed Plan of Action (POA) from support teams
- Commitment to staying updated with technology trends and advancements
- Capability to manage the physical demands associated with the role
Responsibilities
- Provide troubleshooting and repair services for server-related issues
- Order necessary parts as needed for maintenance and repair
- Conduct preventative maintenance and installation of Dell products on-site
- Triage issues based on guidance from Dell Support
- Implement action plans provided by Dell Domain Engineer/L3
- Maintain documentation of plans, results, logs, and service reports for reporting to Dell via case email
- Reseat components, exchange, or replace faulty parts as necessary
- Perform server testing and validation, including running diagnostics and uploading logs
- Upgrade firmware as required
- Manage parts lockers and oversee the intake and dispatch of parts
- Handle spare parts management distinctly from locker operations during server deployments
- Ensure timely return of parts to Dell
Description
We are a dedicated team seeking a Data Center Technician for a 100% onsite role located in Memphis, Tennessee, Ellendale, North Dakota, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Childress, Texas, and Dickens County, Texas. This position operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the possibility of consistent off-hour shifts once scheduled.
