Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in cloud security (Azure/AWS) incorporating scripting for automation and remediation.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred; comparable experience will be considered.
- Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Security, CCSP, CCSK, or GIAC Cloud Security are advantageous.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Azure and AWS security services and best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, and Bash, along with IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with cloud-native security tools, SOAR platforms, and Azure Sentinel.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001/27002, GDPR, CMMC, and CIS.
- Competence in Microsoft O365, particularly Excel; knowledge of Power BI and SharePoint is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design and implementation of secure architectures for Azure and AWS environments.
- Monitor and rectify misconfigurations related to IAM roles, security groups, and network ACLs on a continuous basis.
- Analyze cloud-specific security alerts and collaborate with SOC teams to facilitate incident resolution.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments utilizing tools like AWS Inspector, Azure Defender, Wiz, and Tenable.
- Assist in audits and ensure adherence to compliance mandates including CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and other relevant frameworks.
- Create and modify scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates employing Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Automate workflows for threat detection and remediation using AWS Lambda and Azure Functions.
- Link custom scripts with SIEMs, EDR platforms, and cloud-native tools to enhance alert processing and minimize false positives.
