Junior Software Engineer (VB.NET WinForms + SQL Server, ASP.NET Core)

- For the VB.NET WinForms applications, I will need you to maintain and enhance our internal line-of-business tools focused on inventory, pricing, product/category management, and content workflows. - You will refactor legacy modules to improve performance and reliability while enhancing user experience, validation, and error handling. - You’ll be responsible for designing and optimizing SQL Server components (including tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures) and developing robust data-access layers. - In terms of ASP.NET Core, you will implement Razor Pages for internal admin dashboards and customer-facing features, ensuring integration with existing SQL schemas. - Creating APIs/handlers for product catalogs, pricing rules, and inventory signals will be part of your role, along with ensuring both security and performance. - I will also ask for your assistance in migrating essential functionalities from legacy ASP Classic to ASP.NET Core while ensuring feature parity. - Additionally, you'll be expected to write clear, maintainable code using source control (Git) and adhere to ticket-driven workflows. - I would like you to author unit and integration tests for key modules, participate in code reviews, and contribute to release quality assurance. - Documenting database changes, configurations, and deployment procedures for future use will also be part of your responsibilities.
