Requirements
Must:
- Associate degree or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in IT help desk support required
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and user support methodologies
- Able to provide clear technical guidance and assistance
- Knowledgeable in system maintenance and security protocols
- Effective communication skills for user interaction
- Comfortable working with remote access tools and providing support remotely
- Willingness to travel up to 25% preferred
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and address technical hardware and software problems
- Assist users through detailed troubleshooting processes via phone, email, chat, or in-person
- Track and manage user requests and issues utilizing a ticketing system
- Prioritize and escalate issues to ensure swift resolution
- Aid end users in efficiently understanding and using software and hardware
- Conduct regular updates, backups, and system patch management
- Set up and maintain user workstations, software, and network configurations
- Aid in the installation of new hardware and software as necessary
- Keep accurate documentation of recurring issues and solutions
- Update knowledge base articles to enhance user self-service capabilities
- Assist users with password resets and ensure security measures are upheld
- Monitor systems for potential security breaches
- Collaborate with IT colleagues to tackle complex problems
- Keep users updated on their requests and ongoing issues
- Provide support to remote users using remote access tools
- Offer training and educational materials to improve IT literacy among users
- Address user inquiries and advise on best technology practices
