Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of experience in software quality assurance and automated testing.
- Proven track record of leading QA initiatives and mentoring junior team members.
- Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps Repos, Boards, Pipelines, and Test Plans.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex test cycles and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent documentation and reporting capabilities, particularly regarding defects and test coverage.
- Experience with integrating automated tests into build and release processes.
- Proficient in Playwright (Python) and Pytest.
- Skilled in API automation using REST Assured.
- Proficient SQL skills for data validation.
- Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 functional testing.
- Experience using performance testing tools such as Locust, JMeter, or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of Git, Allure, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Experience in test data management and environment setup.
- Understanding of security standards (PCI, GDPR) and accessibility regulations.
- Familiar with WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines.
- Knowledgeable in assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA).
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
Responsibilities
- Drive the QA strategy and establish best practices for enterprise applications (Payments, CRM).
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior QA engineers.
- Design and execute automation frameworks using Playwright (Python) and Pytest.
- Automate testing of REST APIs with REST Assured.
- Conduct performance and load testing utilizing Locust, JMeter, or LoadRunner.
- Ensure data integrity across systems through SQL validation (joins, multi-table queries, CTE).
- Update and enhance existing test scripts in UFT/VBScript.
- Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD workflows.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and product owners within Agile teams.
- Conduct security and compliance assessments (PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA) for enterprise systems.
- Ensure applications comply with usability and accessibility standards.
- Perform both manual and automated accessibility assessments.
- Manage test cases and reporting utilizing Azure Test Plans or equivalent tools.
- Create and maintain necessary test documentation (BRD, FRD, SRS, RTM).
- Supervise test environment setups and manage test data effectively.
Description

We are currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team in Lansing, MI, who possesses strong skills in functional testing, automation, API validation, performance testing, and enterprise system integrations. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence two days a week. We prioritize local candidates within 70 miles of Lansing, though non-local candidates willing to relocate will also be considered. This contract position spans one year, and our ideal team member will thrive in a collaborative Agile environment.
