Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years of comprehensive technical and functional expertise in Oracle database performance tuning
- 2+ years of experience in migrating databases to and from the Exadata platform
- 2+ years of familiarity with various methods and technologies including RMAN and Data Guard
- 3+ years of profound knowledge in Oracle troubleshooting and complex problem diagnostics, conducting detailed root cause analysis of Oracle database systems
- 2+ years of experience in scripting solutions for automating processes within Oracle database environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities
- Ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively in various situations
- Strong skills in responding to questions and delivering engaging group presentations
- Proficient in documenting information clearly and expressively
- Adaptable writing styles to suit diverse needs
- Effective presentation of numerical data.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the migration, tuning, and resolution of database environments from Exadata X9 servers to the Exadata X11 setup
- Evaluate the existing Exadata database architecture and assist in the development of a new architecture
- Formulate and assist in the creation of a migration strategy or plan
- Facilitate the migration of databases to the new Exadata platform or provide assistance during this process
- Deliver tuning, troubleshooting, and automation solutions as needed
- Collaborate with client personnel to complete the project successfully.

We are currently seeking an Oracle DBA to join our team, primarily focused on transitioning databases from Exadata Cloud at Customer X9 to X11 servers. This role offers remote working flexibility from within Wisconsin, along with the potential for varied hours outside traditional business times. The initial contract duration for this position is six months.
