Requirements
Must:
- Must currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Springfield, OR.
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience as a Systems/Network Administrator, ideally within an MSP or IT services setting.
- Proficiency in managing firewalls and switches (such as Fortinet, Cisco, SonicWall, etc.).
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
- Experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and cloud networking services (Azure, AWS).
- Familiarity with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities; adept at both independent and collaborative work.
- Relevant certifications (Net+, A+, CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, etc.) are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and sustain network infrastructure for various clients.
- Oversee firewalls, switches, routers, access points, and VPNs.
- Assess network performance, resolve issues, and guarantee optimal availability and security.
- Update or generate new security certificates (CA).
- Collaborate with Active Directory, Entra ID, and Exchange Online.
- Regularly utilize CloudShell, PowerShell, and terminal scripting.
- Support network upgrades, migrations, and cloud transitions.
- Establish and enforce network security best practices, encompassing segmentation, encryption, and access controls.
- Provide both remote and in-person support to clients as necessary.
- Utilize MSP tools (such as NinjaOne, RMM, and ticketing platforms).
- Document network configurations and procedures for internal and client reference.
