Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelors degree in computer science, network technology, software engineering, information security, or a related area.
- Networking certification is beneficial.
- Proven professional experience in network engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of access, administration, application servers, archival, and configuration management tools.
- Exceptional communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong reasoning and decision-making abilities.
- Robust problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Layer 2/Layer 3 network architectures including leaf/spine, ECMP, MLAG/vPC, LACP, and VLAN/VRF segmentation.
- Implement observability solutions such as SNMP/telemetry, sFlow/NetFlow, and create capacity/SLA dashboards.
- Develop runbooks, spearhead incident response efforts, and conduct root cause analyses along with preventive improvements.
- Collaborate with teams to analyze traffic patterns (north–south vs east–west) and carry out performance testing.
- Configure and optimize BGP with dual ISP eBGP, internal iBGP/OSPF, utilizing BFD, graceful restart, and sensible policy setups.
- Establish and maintain high-speed switching (100/200/400G) capabilities, including QSFP-DD/QSFP56 breakout configurations and optics.
- Automate configuration processes using Ansible/Terraform/Git workflows; deploy standard configurations and continuous integration guardrails.
- Maintain clear documentation and facilitate cross-team communication.
- Utilize basic Linux networking and performance tools for testing (iperf3, ping with jumbo frames, ethtool/tc).
- Analyze workflow and security requirements to design an effective network infrastructure.
- Investigate network performance issues, install and test networking equipment, connections, and firewalls.
- Define, implement, and uphold network policies and procedures.
- Continuously monitor and assess the network, troubleshooting any emerging problems.
- Optimize network settings to enhance user performance.
- Deploy and assess security protocols as part of network management.
- Regularly test and refine network enhancements to maintain an up-to-date infrastructure.
- Keep comprehensive documentation and records related to the network system.
