Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years of technical writing experience in complex hardware, electrical, or mechanical systems.
- Experience in documenting electrical distribution systems like PDUs, switchboards, UPS, and modular power infrastructures.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, functional block diagrams, and control logic flows.
- Skilled with structured documentation tools (Markdown, Confluence, DITA/XML, Visio, Adobe Suite).
- Excellent written communication abilities with keen attention to detail and process.
- Capability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
- (Preferred) Familiar with data center power systems, DCIM, SNMP, Modbus, REST APIs, firmware documentation, and basic electrical engineering principles (kVA/kW, grounding, coordination principles).
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation such as specifications, installation manuals, commissioning guides, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Develop documentation standards, templates, and best practices for products utilizing both hardware and software.
- Collaborate with Product, Hardware, Firmware, and Software Engineering teams to collect technical information and updates.
- Work with Field Operations and Service teams to validate installation processes and ensure content precision.
- Guarantee that documentation is precise, version-controlled, and complies with regulatory standards.
- Clearly present complex technical concepts through written content, diagrams, flowcharts, and structured procedures.
- Manage a documentation backlog that aligns with product and engineering timelines.
- Continuously enhance documentation based on feedback for clarity and usability.
- Monitor documentation effectiveness and pinpoint content deficiencies.
- Assist in creating internal training modules and customer-facing materials as required.
- Support documentation workflows related to product releases and updates.
