Requirements
Must:
- I require proven experience in delivering technical support and troubleshooting within a help desk or desktop support setting.
- I expect a strong understanding of operating systems such as Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN configurations, VPNs, firewalls (including Meraki), and network administration tools is essential.
- Experience managing computer hardware and peripherals, along with mobile device support, is necessary.
- Proficiency with remote management tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and familiarity with Active Directory administration is required.
- The ability to quickly assess complex technical issues and communicate solutions clearly to non-technical users is critical.
- Excellent customer service skills, coupled with strong communication abilities, are important for fostering positive user interactions.
- Knowledge of help desk ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira for efficient issue tracking and resolution is preferred.
Responsibilities
- I will provide timely and professional technical support through phone, email, and remote tools to end-users facing hardware, software, or network challenges.
- I will troubleshoot and resolve software issues across operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux, aiming for minimal downtime.
- I will manage computer hardware assets, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, ensuring proper setup and maintenance.
- I will assist with networking tasks like configuring LAN/WAN connections, DNS settings, TCP/IP protocols, VPN access, firewall configurations, and implementing network security measures such as Meraki appliances.
- I will handle Active Directory management tasks, including user account creation, permission adjustments, and enforcing security policies through GPO (Group Policy Object) implementation.
- I will utilize IT service management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy to log incidents, monitor resolution progress, and generate reports for continuous improvement.
- I will support various IT infrastructure components, including Windows Server environments and Microsoft Office applications, to ensure seamless user experiences.
