Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree, Associate degree, or Technical/Trade certification preferred
- Background in refrigeration, HVAC, or electronics is advantageous
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly phone demeanor
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Capable of following multi-step processes and taking direction easily
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Minimum of 3 years experience in technical service or sales preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and have familiarity with machinery and tools
Responsibilities
- Provide technical telephone support for medical grade refrigerators and freezers
- Respond to product inquiries from customers and sales representatives via phone and email
- Assist with product selection, installation, operation, and maintenance of refrigeration equipment
- Manage service calls with independent field service providers
- Diagnose root causes of service-related issues and implement corrective measures
- Document all service activities diligently in IssueTrak
- Identify necessary spare parts and coordinate their delivery to the field
- Maintain communication with customers and sales representatives across North America
- Facilitate and present technical training for new staff and outside sales representatives
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Executive Management to update product information
- Utilize information systems for data retrieval and order processing
- Attend assigned professional workshops and seminars
- Represent Horizon Scientific at trade shows, distributor meetings, and training events
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
