Must:
We seek candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimal Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 8+ years of experience in embedded systems development, ideally within the automotive sector.
- Additional Job-Specific Competencies:
- Strong command of C/C++, RTOS, and CAN/LIN/FlexRay.
- Proficient in Matlab/Simulink and CANoe.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as ISO 26262.
- Knowledge of data acquisition systems, signal processing, and hardware/software integration.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in signal processing and measurement systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven capability to manage time, clarify responsibilities, and coordinate efforts across teams.
- Demonstrated innovation and problem-solving skills in complex technical environments.
- Ability to establish and utilize networks and coalitions to foster alignment and support.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will hold various key responsibilities, including:
- Providing Technical Leadership: Guiding and mentoring engineering teams in the design and implementation of embedded data systems while cultivating a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Establishing Standards & Best Practices: Defining, documenting, and promoting engineering standards, development protocols, and reusable frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability across programs and teams.
- Developing Embedded Systems: Designing, developing, and deploying embedded software systems for real-time data acquisition and processing in prototype vehicles and related environments.
- Collaborating Cross-Functionally: Working closely with hardware, software, and simulation teams to deliver integrated, scalable, and high-performance data systems.
- System Optimization: Enhancing embedded systems for performance, reliability, and adaptability across various prototyping platforms.
- Leading Validation & Testing: Directing testing, validation, and refinement of embedded solutions in dynamic and evolving development settings.
- Innovating Data Processing Solutions: Creating and implementing novel embedded data processing architectures and algorithms to tackle complex challenges in real-time acquisition, transformation, and interpretation of high-bandwidth sensor and vehicle data.
- Managing DevOps & Configuration: Maintaining robust version control, configuration management, and deployment processes to ensure traceability and consistency.
