Requirements

Must:
- I possess a deep understanding of computer science concepts, including operating systems, databases, software systems, and networking. - I have expert programming skills in Object-Oriented coding languages such as .NET/C#, C++, C, Java, or a similar language. - I have demonstrated mastery of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts. - I am capable of recognizing and leveraging design patterns, as well as architecting software to meet functional and performance needs while ensuring future maintainability. - I have strong debugging skills and experience troubleshooting and resolving complex issues. - I can contribute to technical documentation, including software requirement specifications, design documentation, and release notes. - I can effectively conduct and participate in thorough code reviews. - I am familiar with developer tools, including version control, CI/CD build pipelines, and issue tracking. - I possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in articulating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. - I adapt my communication style to suit various audiences and demonstrate strong ownership in executing project plans and meeting deadlines. - I have an awareness of the local and system-level impact of the code I write. - I can provide feedback on requirements and test cases for completeness, accuracy, and feasibility of implementation and testing. - I actively support and drive departmental best practices and improvements in products or processes. - Familiarity with secure coding principles or cybersecurity is beneficial, and experience with medical devices, medical imaging, or understanding DICOM/HL7 is a plus.

Responsibilities

- I will develop an expert-level understanding of our products and their clinical applications to maintain, design, develop, and test them. - I will design and produce high-quality software while maintaining Agile/Scrum/Continuous Integration methodologies. - I will contribute to technical documentation regarding new products, features, and functionalities. - I will identify, design, and implement appropriate software testing methodologies. - I will collaborate with Test Engineers to comprehend functionalities for developing and supporting testing plans. - I will identify, diagnose, prioritize, and resolve technical issues and analyze defects while providing feedback and implementing process enhancements. - I will train external teams on essential product design elements and their proper operation. - I will apply and share knowledge of new and emerging technologies, continuously seeking opportunities for potential product enhancements. - I will act as a technical leader by proactively seeking product improvements and insisting on the highest levels of product quality and usability. - I will define and develop product enhancements and new features in collaboration with Product Management and Domain Experts. - I will conduct software risk assessments, evaluating and developing risk mitigations where applicable for component, subsystem, and system level testing.

I hold a preferred minimum technical/advanced degree, such as a Bachelor's or Master's in a related field, and I typically have 5-8 years of technical experience with a Bachelor's degree or 4-6 years with a Master's degree.
