Requirements

Must:
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, including over 5 years in solution architecture, systems design, or technical leadership. You should have profound experience working with eCommerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus, or Kibo, which includes designing and enhancing custom solutions for intricate business settings. Experience in Agile/SAFe environments, particularly as part of an Agile Release Train, is essential. We expect you to possess a strong grasp of APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and best practices in integration, as well as knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and contemporary DevOps methodologies. You should have excellent communication skills, capable of mentoring developers and articulating trade-offs to business leaders.

Responsibilities

As the architectural anchor for our eCommerce Agile Release Train, you’ll engage closely with the team. You will support PI planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews by providing clear technical direction. Your role will involve translating business epics into enablers and solution designs that developers can implement effectively. You will also offer hands-on guidance, mentorship, and coaching to development teams. You’ll take ownership of the eCommerce technical roadmap, balancing urgent deliveries with long-term advancements. Identifying opportunities to utilize AI, automation, and modern architectures to enhance delivery and innovation will be key to your success. You will ensure that architectural runways, enablers, and standards are established to support continuous delivery while driving alignment across eCommerce, ERP, CRM, WMS, and marketing platforms. Furthermore, you will establish and maintain reference architectures, integration patterns, and best practices. You’ll continuously assess emerging technologies to enhance user experience and performance, including modern front-end frameworks, MACH (Microservices, API First, Cloud-native, Headless), composable commerce, and AI-driven solutions. Working alongside security and infrastructure teams, you will ensure that designs meet scalability, security, and compliance criteria. In addition, you’ll collaborate with product management, release train engineers, and business stakeholders to align the roadmap with business objectives, acting as a link between technical implementation and business value. You will provide transparency regarding architectural decisions, dependencies, and trade-offs. Supporting teams with design sessions, code reviews, and troubleshooting will be vital, ensuring that architectural decisions are executed consistently across teams while documenting and communicating architecture decisions and the evolution of the roadmap.

Description

Ideal candidates will also have a demonstrated experience in incorporating AI/automation into IT or eCommerce solutions. A background in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer brands is advantageous, as is experience in modernizing legacy eCommerce solutions or leading platform re-platforming efforts. Familiarity with MACH and composable commerce approaches is a plus. If you are passionate about building scalable solutions, mentoring high-performing teams, and leveraging technology to enhance customer experiences, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity at Holley.
