Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience in network security and cybersecurity roles
- Familiarity with firewall management, antivirus solutions, and security technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in team settings
- Experience with risk management and project management methodologies
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements pertaining to cybersecurity
Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic, server logs, and security alerts to detect suspicious activity
- Investigate and analyze security incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective measures
- Identify vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure and devise strategies for mitigation
- Implement and oversee firewall and antivirus technologies to safeguard systems
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security-related software and hardware
- Apply necessary security patches and updates to protect against emerging threats
- Evaluate current cybersecurity tools to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements
- Actively contribute to DSHSs efforts in enhancing network security practices
- Support project management activities related to cybersecurity initiatives, such as risk management and resource coordination
- Engage with DSHS stakeholders to comprehend strategic goals and enhance security measures
- Prepare and present reports, project plans, and briefings to DSHS leadership and stakeholders
- Maintain and update cybersecurity documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity
Description
