Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in technology or a related field
- At least five (5) years of demonstrated expertise in network engineering with hands-on experience
- A minimum of two (2) years working with AVI NSX Load Balancing technology, including managing the platform in a hybrid environment
- Familiarity with Amazon AWS and core cloud networking products such as ALB, NLB, or CloudWAN
- Experience managing traditional and cloud-native DNS solutions like BIND9 and AWS Route53
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, OpenTofu, or Pulumi
- Proven experience in an international tech environment managing large, globally distributed hybrid networks
- This is a hybrid position, requiring proximity to one of our three U.S. office locations in McLean, Dallas, or Memphis
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document requirements from multiple teams and collaborate with vendors to develop effective solutions
- Mentor junior engineers on troubleshooting, planning, communication, and related skills
- Lead multi-phase, multi-year projects as a key member of the Network Engineering team
- Review, develop, and monitor baseline growth metrics and indicators to ensure standardized platform growth and system resilience
- Contribute to and maintain comprehensive documentation regarding various systems within Hiltons Global Network
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams of network technology experts to guide decisions and implementation across Hiltons network
- Work closely with DevOps and Cloud teams to establish secure, available, and scalable network infrastructure
- Manage relationships with Hilton partners and vendors to ensure platform stability, employing strong vendor management skills
- Oversee infrastructure deployments from design through to operations for DNS and Load Balancing, particularly focusing on BIND9, AVI NSX Load Balancers, and AWS Route53
- Act as a subject matter expert for AVI NSX Load Balancers, providing guidance and hands-on support for global implementations, including AVI Control Plane and Data Plane
- Document intricate technical requirements and system architectures
