Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Proficiency in multiple software design tools and programming languages (typically C, C++, Python, and GO).
- Experience with Linux development.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in designing software systems for various platform types.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies, including creating and executing test plans, and debugging.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English and the local language.
- Capability to effectively convey product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at managerial levels.
Responsibilities
- Design enhancements, updates, and modifications for system software, which includes networking, drivers, interfaces, and tools.
- Evaluate design, coding, programming, and integration tasks required based on overall product architecture and objectives.
- Create and implement thorough test plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned sections of applications; identify, troubleshoot, and develop solutions for coding and integration issues.
- Supervise a project team of software system engineers and development partners to create dependable, cost-efficient, and high-quality solutions for designated subsystems.
- Collaborate and communicate with leadership, internal teams, and outsourced partners regarding software design status, project updates, and issue resolution.
- Represent the system software engineering team throughout all phases of larger and more intricate development projects.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
