Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in production code development
- More than 10 years in engineering management within Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Strong skills in code reviews to uphold quality and security standards
- Expertise in designing and operating CI/CD pipelines (automated build/test/deploy)
- Knowledge of automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end as applicable
- Proficient in systems and networking troubleshooting
- Experience in cloud deployment across build, validate, release, and operate phases
- Strong technical writing abilities and effective stakeholder communication
- Familiarity with DoD security controls and RMF/ATO delivery processes
- Experience with enterprise common data layer platforms that align with NSW CDF objectives
- Understanding of safeguarding requirements outlined in NIST SP 800-171
- Proven record in delivering AI/ML solutions for tactical-edge users, ensuring compliance and accreditation readiness (RAI + ATO)
- Capability to undergo CAC/SAAR onboarding and fulfill OPSEC + DoD Cyber Awareness prerequisites for network access
- Experience with NSW digital advantage technologies is a plus, including SaaS, DaaS, aPaaS, knowledge management, as well as low-code/no-code solutions in secure environments
Responsibilities
- Lead a team focused on delivering secure and scalable software that meets NSW priorities
- Implement the engineering roadmap in an Agile/Scrum setting
- Direct the architecture and design of systems, including capacity planning and tool strategy
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automation processes, and automated testing frameworks
- Provide hands-on technical guidance through code reviews, troubleshooting, and supporting complex decision-making
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and system documentation
- Utilize current best practices in developer infrastructure and contemporary delivery methods
