Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Counseling, Addictions, Social Work or a related field
- Minimum of two years of experience working with the target population
- Comprehensive knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, stages of change, harm reduction, and best practices for substance use disorder treatment
- Understanding of cultural diversity, human development, and trauma-informed care
- Experience with co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, and mental health issues
- Proficient computer skills for managing timesheets, training modules, and program documentation
- Must possess a valid F-endorsement and be able to operate a personal vehicle for work-related duties
- Regular attendance is a critical component of the role
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with clients to assess their needs and provide referrals
- Maintain documentation, including assessments and follow-up details, accurately and timely
- Foster positive relationships with internal teams and external community resources
- Employ motivational interviewing and ethical practices to support clients
- Stay informed about community resources to aid clients in achieving their goals
- Respond to all communication within a 24-hour timeframe
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive service delivery
- Contribute to program evaluation and quality assurance efforts
Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SOR Pathfinder to join our McNabb Center team in Knox County, Tennessee. This role is crucial in making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
