Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Advanced proficiency in computer systems, software, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft applications (word processing and spreadsheets).
- Extensive knowledge of insurance processes related to billing, follow-up, and verification duties.
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Pay.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, appeals, and collections.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.
- Capability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Flexibility to manage priorities and delegate tasks when necessary.
- Understanding of the organizations policies and procedures regarding claims and billing.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and verify clients commercial insurance coverage and ensure proper procedures are covered.
- Enter data accurately and update client benefit information in our billing system, ensuring all information is correct.
- Conduct auditing and resolution tasks, addressing inquiries on coverage from internal and external sources.
- Analyze eligibility reports daily and collaborate with the Insurance Verification Team Leader on related issues.
- Maintain communication with billing representatives to resolve any insurance-related concerns.
- Uphold a positive and professional demeanor while responding to emails and voicemails promptly.
- Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Work overtime as needed based on departmental demands.
- Participate in determining appropriate resolutions for insurance issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Team Leads or Management.

We are seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to join the McNabb Center team located in Knoxville, Tennessee. We offer a starting salary of approximately $18.98 per hour, based on relevant experience and education. Our team works Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, and we encourage a culture of support and collaboration in a professional setting.
