Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or masters degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of experience in Business Intelligence Analysis
- Proficient in synthesizing complex data, identifying trends, and translating them into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong data-driven problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Independent, curious self-starter with a data-oriented mindset
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in fast-paced settings
- Familiar with relational database concepts and proficient in writing SQL queries
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups
- Experienced with Tableau and other data visualization tools
- Knowledgeable in Snowflake
- Previous experience in food distribution or related industries is an advantage
- Currently reside on Oahu.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for a data-driven strategy to enhance business practices
- Generate innovative ideas, suggest enhancements, and take charge of impactful initiatives that promote strategic thought
- Create, develop, and sustain dashboards, reports, and other instruments to visualize data and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Detect patterns, trends, and correlations within data to reveal opportunities for operational advancement and business expansion
- Deliver insights and recommendations to inform business strategies, enhance operational efficiency, and support informed decision-making
- Collaborate with stakeholders, software developers, and the Business Intelligence team to define objectives, metrics, and requirements
- Offer ad hoc analytical assistance to internal stakeholders across various departments, technical backgrounds, and levels
- Adopt new methodologies for data analysis
- Review and validate data as required
- Prioritize tasks based on business needs and objectives.
