Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or science
- Over 5 years of pertinent full-stack or backend development experience
- Solid experience with cloud-based microservices architecture, including Istio Service Mesh, zero-trust implementations, and observability practices
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs (e.g., FastAPI) secured by OAuth2/Auth
- Familiarity with integrating asymmetric and/or symmetric encryption into applications
- Extensive knowledge of parallel processing, message brokers, and distributed task queues
- Competent in using Docker containers and Helm charts
- Ability to advocate for technical excellence and uphold high software engineering standards
- Demonstrated capability to provide and receive constructive feedback on design documents
- Prior experience leading an Agile team of developers (preferred)
- Familiarity with blockchain systems, zero-knowledge proofs, or IETF RFCs (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of data structures, algorithms, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and in-memory data storage (preferred)

Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design and development of secure and reliable microservices while applying leading practices in software architecture
- Establish, document, and promote the acceptance of efficient end-to-end SDLC and CI/CD automation pipelines
- Proactively oversee, troubleshoot, and enhance the performance of deployed applications
- Incorporate VIAs Web3 components and privacy-preserving technologies (including cryptography, passwordless login, classical & post-quantum cryptography, and zero-knowledge proofs)
- Create and execute thorough automated testing strategies to guarantee high software quality and resilience
- Continuously investigate and integrate the latest advancements in privacy, cryptography, and distributed systems
- Act as a subject matter expert in privacy and security, guiding project delivery and technical decisions
- Clearly communicate complex software designs and technical processes to various cross-functional teams
