Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mainframe applications
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in mainframe DB2 development and support
- Proficient in JCL, stored procedures, batch, and online troubleshooting along with production support activities
- Skilled in COBOL, CICS, File-AID, REXX, SPUFI, Oracle
- Familiarity with JIRA, BMC, File Manager, Xpeditor, FTP, VSAM, Oracle, and MVS
- Strong requirements gathering skills and ability to collaborate with business users
Responsibilities
- Provide support in maintaining, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with existing Mainframe COBOL/DB2 business applications and systems
- Develop project plans and detailed schedules for system enhancements
- Document all programming tasks and projects comprehensively
- Improve existing systems to adapt to new business needs
- Configure, create, and oversee production run processes on Mainframe systems
- Address and resolve issues relating to database data, production runs, and system products including online screens, reports, and files
- Optimize and tune COBOL/DB2 programs and systems for better performance
- Develop new applications, programs, and interfaces to effectively solve identified problems
Description
