Requirements
Must:
- U.S. citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of experience in application development and/or specifically Java development.
- Strong expertise in Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with MVC architecture and JDBC.
- Proficient in front-end technologies including React (18+), Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON.
- Experience with Node.js (22+), Struts 2, Maven, and JQuery.
- Knowledge of messaging and streaming technologies such as MQ or Kafka.
- Experience with Oracle 19c, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and SQL optimization techniques.
- Background working in Windows and Linux environments.
- Understanding of AWS services like EC2, CloudWatch, load balancers, and serverless architectures.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and RedHat Ansible Automation Platform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins/CloudBees and version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like AppDynamics and DataDog.
- Understanding of application frameworks, microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cross-platform interoperability.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Engage in agile methodologies and actively contribute within a continuous integration environment.
- Execute software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging tasks.
- Evaluate user requirements to identify business objectives and technical solutions.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Create and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
- Address and remediate SonarQube findings while developing unit tests to uphold code quality.
- Generate and update technical documentation and user support materials.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within application environments.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes utilizing tools like Jenkins/CloudBees and Git.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
- Facilitate cloud-based deployments and infrastructure leveraging AWS services (EC2, CloudWatch, Load Balancers, Lambda).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate security and performance best practices.
- Occasionally assist with Help Desk support to address and resolve end-user challenges.
