Requirements
Must:
- Proven professional experience in Python development
- Effective communication skills with both business-facing clients and technical teams
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle
- Strong grasp of agile methodologies, including CI/CD practices, application resiliency, and security measures
- Formal training or certification in software engineering principles, coupled with 5+ years of practical experience
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications within technical disciplines, such as Cloud, AI, ML, or Mobile
- Familiarity with Banking/Finance Market Risk domains
- Experience with the Athena ecosystem or similar technologies (e.g., Sec DB, Quartz)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, quantitative research analysts, and both upstream and downstream technology teams
- Thrive in an Agile environment, always seeking improvement
- Implement software solutions with a focus on design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking creatively to formulate innovative solutions
- Contribute actively to communities of practice among software engineers and participate in events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Proactively identify hidden issues and patterns within data to drive enhancements in coding practices and system architecture
- Develop architectural and design documentation for complex applications, ensuring adherence to design constraints throughout the software development process
- Contribute to a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
