Requirements

Must:
- I require a minimum of 3 years of experience in technology as a technical support specialist, technician, operator, or programmer. - I need someone who has experience in administering and supporting a student information system or a similar business information system. - An applicant should possess a High School Diploma along with industry experience in networking and/or Microsoft product sets including iPads, Macintosh, Windows 10, Chromebooks, and Google Applications. - Demonstrated understanding of current technological and educational practices is essential, including system-wide networks, email systems, storage solutions, anti-virus implementation, recovery systems, backup operations, and administrative as well as pedagogical applications. - I value the ability to work long hours and a strong past work ethic. - A strong commitment to customer satisfaction and a customer-service orientation is critical. - Physical strength is required for lifting, bending, walking on uneven surfaces, and carrying heavy objects up to 75lbs, along with repetitive physical tasks. - The ability to climb stairs and ladders is also necessary. - Must have the capability to travel within the district, moving from building to building to meet the technology needs of students, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

- You will be the primary contact for technical support in designated locations and will provide on-site assistance as necessary. - You will handle technical support inquiries for the student information system. - Your tasks will involve responding to service requests, resolving issues, enhancing customer satisfaction, and reducing response time, which will require on-site engagement across the district. - You will troubleshoot district hardware and software, maintain logs, and follow up on issues, including contacting vendors for necessary repairs and technical support. - General maintenance and upgrades of district technology equipment will be part of your duties. - You will set up and dismantle technology equipment for meetings held throughout the district. - Assisting in the installation and inventory of both hardware and software will also be required. - Maintaining the district technology plan in compliance with Michigan Department of Education guidelines is essential. - You will assist in managing network and email accounts, setting up networks, configuring software on computers for centralized copiers, and maintaining the Active Directory. - Troubleshooting VoIP and networking issues, as well as maintaining wireless communication, are required tasks. - You will transport equipment and supplies to ensure that materials are available where needed. - Confidentiality regarding sensitive information must be maintained. - Acting as a liaison between the department and district employees, students, and families is essential. - Provide technical support for School Board meetings and district events, including livestreaming and sound support, and be available for occasional evening events. - This position offers 40 hours per week and the potential for overtime pay. - You may also be assigned other duties by the Director of Technology and Technology Coordinator.
