Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles with a deep understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Hands-on knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN configuration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with VPN setup and management for secure remote access.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for incident management.
- Proficient in software troubleshooting techniques for common enterprise applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Ability to diagnose hardware issues and perform basic repairs or replacements.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on exceptional customer service.
- Experience with security tools like firewalls or network monitoring solutions is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for desktop, laptop, and mobile devices across various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Resolve hardware issues pertaining to computer components, peripherals, and network devices.
- Manage and support software applications including the Microsoft Office suite and additional enterprise tools.
- Configure, monitor, and uphold network security measures, including firewalls and VPN connections, to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist users with operating system issues, software troubleshooting, and application installations.
- Utilize service management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy to document incidents, track progress, and manage workflows.
- Support computer networking tasks including LAN setup, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and handling switches or routers.
- Maintain documentation of support procedures and user manuals to enrich the team knowledge base.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently resolve complex technical problems while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Participate in the implementation of system upgrades, patches, and security updates across different platforms.
Description
