Requirements
Must:
- Masters Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operational Research, or a related field;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline is required.
- Proficient in developing data science pipelines and workflows using Python, R, or a comparable programming language.
- Skilled in writing and optimizing SQL queries and handling terabyte-sized datasets using Spark.
- Familiar with various machine learning techniques and understanding essential parameters that influence model performance.
- Experience utilizing ML libraries like scikit-learn, mllib, etc.
- Proficient in data visualization tools.
- Ability to write high-quality production-level code that is both clear and comprehensible.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex analysis findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must undergo a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Oversee model monitoring tasks, which include tracking performance metrics, detecting model and data drift, identifying data quality problems, providing root cause analyses, and suggesting remediation strategies.
- Conduct thorough model validation by challenging the model development phases, including performance testing, benchmarking, and ensuring compliance with business, technical, and regulatory standards through detailed documentation.
- Independently explore and aggregate data to identify anomalies that may affect algorithm performance.
- Write production-level code in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Address complex challenges utilizing large data sets.
- Apply a range of machine learning techniques to solve business issues and determine the optimal approach.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify trends, opportunities, and solutions.
- Present and visualize results and model performance to audiences without a technical background.
- Uphold the companys commitment to safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
