Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience
- At least 3 years of IT experience, ideally in healthcare or a related field, or 2 years of IT experience alongside 2 years of clinical experience
- In-depth knowledge of the subject area
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in desktop applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of creating and maintaining clear, concise documentation
- Effective collaboration with team members across the department
- Demonstrates initiative and self-direction
- Epic Cadence and Prelude certifications or relevant certifications for applicable applications
Responsibilities
- Share expertise and mentor junior Application Analysts
- Install and upgrade new or existing applications, configure settings, and validate work done by junior Analysts
- Assist in coordinating support activities for end users
- Actively participate in meetings and contribute to IT department coordination
- Provide support during go-live phases of new applications and functionalities
- Oversee and analyze required application modifications, collaborating with IT colleagues and/or vendors as needed
- Assess business and clinical needs and requirements
- Discuss user requirements thoroughly to identify optimal solutions
- Evaluate operational workflows in relation to the system
- Create system specifications based on user needs
- Develop test plans and execute testing for new systems, upgrades, and modifications
- Document test outcomes and review junior Analysts testing for consistency
- Handle application implementation and provide troubleshooting and support
- Present information verbally and in writing to project teams and departments
- Address complex issues and refer exceptionally challenging problems to senior staff
- Update system and department documentation regularly
- Suggest areas for process enhancements
- Offer on-call support for applications
- Contribute to the redesign of policies and procedures
- Mentor new staff in the department
- Perform related duties as assigned
- Lift and move a minimum of 20 lbs., as well as push and pull, while standing for at least 4 hours daily
- Adhere to organizational competencies and behavioral standards
