Must:
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field of Information Technology (IT) or other computer-related disciplines. You should have at least five years of relevant experience in IT or similar fields, along with extensive proficiency in one or more programming languages or frameworks. Exceptional organizational skills are crucial to coordinate small teams for achieving departmental and organizational goals. You will need to manage your time effectively and work independently, demonstrating strong skills in desktop applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook. We value effective verbal and written communication, along with the ability to create and maintain clear documentation. Collaborative skills to work alongside other team members within the department are essential. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelors degree in a related IT field and experience in healthcare or a related area. Relevant certifications like Epic or equivalent applications programming experience (e.g., PeopleSoft tools) are required.
Responsibilities
As an Applications Programmer IV for Workday Integration Developer at Hackensack Meridian Health, your day-to-day activities will involve sharing your expertise by mentoring lower-level Applications Programmers and assisting in the validation of their work. You will take on leadership roles while employing advanced coding techniques to develop applications that serve specific functions effectively. Your responsibilities include coding features and functionalities based on detailed requirements or a solid comprehension of business needs. You will recommend technical solutions for complex business challenges, oversee testing of component functionalities, monitor production application performance, and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Additionally, you’ll be tasked with developing and maintaining documentation for both internal and end-users, providing technical support during application implementation or maintenance, suggesting areas for process improvements, and contributing to policy and procedure redesign. Other related duties and projects may be assigned, and adherence to our Medical Centers Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior is expected.
