Requirements
Must:
- 8 years of experience in SQL Server Administration, covering installation, configuration, and upgrades (SQL Server 2012/2016/2019)
- 8 years of expertise in monitoring and optimizing database performance (CPU, memory, I/O, query optimization, indexing, execution plans)
- 8 years of proficiency in backup and recovery practices, including disaster recovery plans, using SQL Server tools and Azure SQL
- 8 years of experience in security and access management (role-based access, authentication, encryption, compliance)
- 8 years of involvement in ETL and SSIS development, encompassing package management and workflow support
- 8 years of skills in job scheduling and automation via SQL Server Agent and Notification Services
- 8 years of experience in log analysis and troubleshooting across SQL Server, Windows, and application logs
- 8 years of knowledge in index and storage management, focusing on space utilization and performance enhancement
- 8 years of experience with database migration and upgrade initiatives across different environments
- 8 years of familiarity with SSRS configuration and troubleshooting
- 8 years of cross-functional collaboration and knowledge exchange experience
- 8 years of cloud integration experience specifically with Azure SQL (BacPac, restoration, hybrid support)
Responsibilities
- Oversee the monitoring of system resources and pinpoint resource-intensive or slow-performing queries
- Examine SQL Server and Windows logs to uncover anomalies and rectify issues
- Manage SQL Server Agent jobs, along with scheduling and notifications
- Diagnose SSRS reporting issues and provide support for reporting environments
- Execute real-time problem-solving and perform root cause analyses
- Regulate user permissions and enforce access controls
- Assist in database migrations and upgrades from older versions of SQL Server
- Carry out performance tuning, index analysis, and space management tasks
- Collaborate with teams on ETL processes and manage updates to SSIS packages
- Support application environments and contribute to development initiatives
- Aid in schema refinements, query optimizations, and code evaluations
- Ensure data protection and security for applications (e.g., CCURE9000)
- Engage in project meetings and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions
