Business Analyst with data analysis skills

- Assist the full-time TORUS Business Analyst in identifying, analyzing, specifying, and validating stakeholders business needs - Conduct interviews with stakeholders to gather and compile user requirements - Utilize strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills for technology decision-making - Collaborate proactively with Business Technology Partners to discover new technologies that enhance business processes - Support the Information Technology Division in understanding business requirements - Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision - Identify project stakeholders and define user classes and characteristics - Collect user requirements through various methods, including interviews and workshops - Document and establish scope and parameters for each projects requirements analysis - Facilitate Agile processes such as sprint planning and retrospectives - Generate User Stories for the development team to use - Work with stakeholders to prioritize collected requirements - Evaluate existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for improvement - Assist in researching software and hardware options to fulfill agreed-upon requirements - Contribute to the quality assurance of purchased technology solutions - Participate in the selection of requirements documentation software as needed - Analyze and verify technical requirements for various criteria such as completeness and feasibility - Create prototypes, specifications, diagrams, and models to guide project teams - Conduct peer reviews of business requirements to ensure accuracy and clarity - Aid in interpreting user requirements into feasible options for stakeholders - Manage and track the status of requirements throughout project lifecycles, adjusting as necessary - Communicate any changes in business requirements to project managers and other stakeholders - Support knowledge transfer and documentation initiatives as directed by the TORUS Business Analyst - Adhere to all relevant client policies and information security standards
