Requirements

Must:
- I require a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, a related field, or an equivalent qualification (Relevant cyber technical certifications and management credentials will also be considered). - The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience. - Experience with engineering and/or military projects is essential. - Proficiency in Cameo Systems Modeler and modeling languages like SysML is expected. - I seek individuals with experience in embedded system engineering within the Cyber domain. - Knowledge related to Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) is necessary. - Familiarity with Cyber Tabletop Exercise (CTTX) drills is required. - It is important to comply with federal regulations and standards, including NIST SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-53. - I will need the individual to prepare and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and other requisite documentation. - Leadership experience in technical development projects is preferred. - Background in military vehicle development and integration will be highly regarded. - Skills in interpreting higher-level customer requirements and translating them into technology specifications are required. - I also look for experience in developing and managing system-level cyber requirements. - Familiarity with various electrical line replaceable units and their associated electronic hardware development and troubleshooting is essential. - Experience with cyber warfare, whether offensive or defensive, is advantageous. - An understanding of embedded systems, particularly in automotive and military contexts, is desired. - Knowledge of software and computer science principles will be beneficial. - Familiarity with cyber-physical system security requirements is necessary. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) is expected. - The ability to travel (mostly domestic, with some international) up to 15% is required. - I will require candidates to obtain a US security clearance. - The candidate should be comfortable climbing on, in, and around military vehicles and must be able to pass the ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined spaces).

Responsibilities

- I will entrust you with authority and accountability for Cyber-related tasks, which will aid in the integration of cross-functional technical scope within various constraints. - Your role will involve collaborating with the project team to ensure the Cyber design is balanced, integrated, and compliant throughout the vehicle system. - You will manage and support the identification, development, and implementation of best practices, tools, and education for platform cyber-physical design across the entire engineering organization. - It will be your responsibility to develop and manage system requirements and interface allocations, which includes oversight of performance, space, weight, power-cooling, reliability, and maintenance specifications, ensuring compliance across the design team. - You will coordinate requirements, architectures, system designs, and handle any changes, conditions, inputs, and final resolutions concerning requirements, trades, and alternatives. - Managing, developing, supporting, and conducting trade studies and structured decisions related to system and subsystem design, while considering system-level impacts such as space, weight, power, cost, reliability, and performance is essential. - You will oversee and support the development of verification plans and manage their execution, which includes testing and the production as well as field site shakedown and verification. - Participation in and leading design troubleshooting and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes to resolve issues in production, development, testing, or modification projects will be integral to your role. - I expect you to develop and evaluate artifacts related to checkpoints and design milestones, as well as Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), ensuring their technical accuracy and compliance with contractual specifications. - Coordinating with platform Design Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) will be essential where interfaces are necessary, such as in threat analysis, interface development, and requirements decomposition. - Lastly, I encourage you to evaluate new Cyber and C5ISR technologies for potential inclusion in our GDLS products and to manage and participate in peer reviews.

This position offers a competitive compensation of $70-90 per hour with a 9/80 work schedule and is entirely onsite in Sterling Heights, MI.
