Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 8 years of experience in real-time embedded software development with C or C++
- Proficient in the C programming language
- Familiarity with real-time systems, RTOS, bare-metal development, and communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI)
- Strong knowledge of software configuration management and contemporary development methodologies
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documents
- Experience using electronics lab equipment
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities
- Candidates are encouraged to apply even if not all qualifications are met
Above and Beyond Qualifications:
- Experience with TI Hercules and/or STM ARM microcontrollers
- Understanding of DO-178C and associated certification standards
- Knowledge of ARP 4754A and ARP 4761 processes
- Familiarity with Lauterbach TRACE32 debugging tools
- Experience with GCC ARM toolchains and Code Composer Studio
- Awareness of ARINC 429 and ARINC 785 protocols
- Familiarity with DO-330 and DO-331 objectives
- Experience with Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE
- Background in motor control, BMS, or flight control systems
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub, or GitLab
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with systems engineers to define airborne software functionalities and requirements
- Create embedded software in C for bare-metal ARM microcontroller targets
- Design and architect embedded software while considering hardware and design limitations
- Integrate low-level software with model-generated code from MATLAB Simulink
- Create automated and manual tests for requirements-based validation
- Identify and resolve software execution challenges such as timing and memory issues
- Conduct peer reviews of software contributions from team members
- Follow, assess, release, and enhance software development processes
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Work autonomously and collaboratively within an integrated team
