Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in technical support roles with an emphasis on computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and networking principles.
- Strong understanding of computer management tools such as Active Directory and system deployment methodologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and commonly used enterprise applications.
- Experience in supporting IT infrastructure elements like LANs, VPNs, firewalls, and switches.
- Proficient in troubleshooting software issues utilizing remote tools and diagnostics utilities.
- Practical experience with help desk ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira.
- Outstanding communication skills for effectively assisting users with diverse technical expertise.
- Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified) are advantageous but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical assistance for hardware, software, and network-related issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Troubleshoot and rectify software challenges, including application errors, connectivity hurdles, and system breakdowns.
- Assist with computer management activities, including user account creation, permission settings, and device configuration.
- Support network infrastructure including LAN, VPN, firewall settings, and resolve connectivity dilemmas.
- Manage and escalate service tickets using tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira to guarantee prompt incident resolution.
- Conduct desktop support tasks involving hardware repairs, operating system installations, and peripheral device configurations.
- Collaborate with Tier 1 support to elevate complex issues and ensure smooth service provision.
- Document solutions and create knowledge base articles for future reference.
- Communicate effectively with end-users to comprehend issues and deliver clear resolution instructions.
