Must:
We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist who possesses the essential skills to enhance our customer-driven services. Qualified candidates should demonstrate proficiency with supported applications and possess technical knowledge in hardware and software. Familiarity with Windows-based programs, the Microsoft Office Suite, VPN/Remote Access, printers, networking technologies, and internet browsers is crucial. Additionally, candidates should ideally have:
- 2 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server
- 2 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop
- 2 years of experience with Mac OS
- 2 years of experience with Office 365
- Ability to relocate to Schertz, TX 78154 before starting work
Responsibilities
As a Desktop Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk support for Windows, macOS, and Office 365 users.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to software, hardware, and network connectivity.
- Managing and tracking incidents and requests within our ticketing system.
- Assisting with user onboarding, which involves account setup and workstation configuration.
- Supporting the troubleshooting of common applications and services such as email, file shares, and print services.
- Collaborating with team members to tackle complex issues and escalating them as necessary.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of both issues and solutions.
- Being familiar with Service Desk support methodologies.
- Thriving in a fast-paced environment and developing comprehensive documentation that aligns with organizational standards.
Description
This is a full-time position, offering a pay range of $17.00 to $22.00 per hour, with expected hours of 8 per week.
