Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience on a year-for-year basis)
- At least ten (10) years of information technology experience
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive IT experience with increasing responsibilities across core IT functions (e.g., infrastructure, end-user computing, service management, or clinical systems support)
- At least five (5) years of leadership experience managing IT operations teams in a 24/7 environment, demonstrating accountability for service delivery and operational performance
- Preferred experience in healthcare, especially in acute care settings, though other high-reliability environments may be considered
- Strong knowledge in network and wireless operations
- Familiarity with server/virtualization and storage systems
- Expertise in endpoint management, encompassing imaging, patching, encryption, and EDR tools
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, or security certifications) is a plus, Epic certification is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead all IT operations across the hospital, ensuring consistent high availability and performance of our infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and clinical systems
- Develop and maintain IT operational policies and procedures, including patching, vulnerability management, and system maintenance communications
- Oversee IT operating and capital budgets, prioritizing investments to enhance clinical reliability and mitigate downtime risks
- Manage relationships with vendors, including contracts with MSPs, telecom, and device suppliers, ensuring measurable service-level agreements (SLAs)
- Collaborate closely with the Epic EHR Director for application support and enterprise interface maintenance
- Supervise service desk and end-user support functions, ensuring we provide timely and high-quality technical assistance across all facilities
- Oversee the lifecycle management of endpoints and clinical devices, including standardization, security, and asset management
- Direct IT change management procedures, disaster recovery planning, and readiness initiatives to ensure smooth patient care continuity
- Enforce robust cybersecurity measures, including security controls and vulnerability management
- Work alongside EHR leadership, clinical teams, and executive stakeholders to align IT strategy with our organizational objectives and priorities in patient care
