Requirements
Must:
- 4+ years of experience in a manual tester role within a Software Development Life Cycle.
- Preferred bachelors degree in a field related to information technology.
- 4+ years of experience in gathering requirements, developing test scenarios, executing tests, and logging defects.
- 3+ years in designing and executing various types of testing such as end-to-end, integration, regression, conversion, and production validation.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and REST-assured.
- 2+ years of practical experience with NoSQL and SQL databases, including MongoDB, Oracle, and Postgres.
- Proficient in analyzing requirements and crafting test cases for different testing methodologies: black box, white box, and gray box.
- Familiar with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (Scrum) and Waterfall approaches.
- SAFE 5 Testing Methodology Certification is preferred.
- Experience using tools like Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr Test Module for defect logging and reporting.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing test strategies, scenarios, cases, and traceability matrices.
- Ability to view problems as opportunities and challenges rather than obstacles.
- Experience in conducting data validation activities through SQL queries to ensure data accuracy between legacy and new systems.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess new or modified software programs to ensure compliance with user requirements.
- Lead and contribute to the technical implementation of software systems and applications pertaining to complex business processes.
- Plan and execute technical testing tasks and assess associated scope.
- Map various business, user, and system requirements to specific test cases.
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams, including business experts, application architects, developers, and testers.
- Prepare comprehensive test scenarios, cases, and document results effectively.
- Conduct sanity/regression testing and adjust test scenarios for periodic maintenance releases.
- Utilize investigative skills to navigate standard operating procedures and database tools.
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to provide feedback and assess performance trends related to system stability or latency.
- Propose and create shared libraries of test steps for integration into cross-application test suites.
- Partner with other teams to enhance regression testing practices and support.
