Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in performance and load testing
- 3+ years of experience with tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, or similar
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- 3+ years of experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- 3+ years of experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, New Relic)
- 3+ years of experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript) and/or test automation frameworks
- 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating on large-scale projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Solid understanding of system architecture, APIs, and web technologies
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and performance testing methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with APM tools and distributed tracing
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- ISTQB or other performance testing certifications
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze performance tests to ensure applications and systems meet performance criteria
- Identify bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and product owners to identify performance issues proactively
- Develop and implement performance testing strategies for web, backend, and cloud systems
- Conduct load, stress, soak, spike, and endurance tests using industry-standard tools
- Analyze testing outcomes, pinpoint bottlenecks, and suggest optimizations to enhance system and application performance
- Work with software engineers, architects, and DevOps to prioritize performance throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Create and maintain performance testing frameworks and reusable scripts
- Support CI/CD integration for performance tests and participate in continuous testing practices
- Monitor system behavior through observability tools and generate comprehensive performance reports
- Engage in root cause analysis of performance issues and assist in triaging production incidents related to latency or instability
