Requirements
Must:
- 6 months to 3 years of experience in help desk or voice customer service roles, involving problem-solving with hardware, software, and networks
- Hands-on experience with imaging and reimaging Windows operating systems for desktops and laptops
- Proficient in disconnecting and reconnecting computer workstations, peripherals, and phone equipment
- Experience with IMACD and Asset Inventory management
- Familiarity with ESD safety precautions to prevent equipment damage
- Ability to follow documentation to provision operating systems and software on workstations and laptops, and resolve common issues
- Knowledge of remote desktop connectivity applications
- Competence in imaging utilities such as Ghost and SCCM
- Experience in delivering and setting up PC equipment for end-users
- Ability to use a trouble ticketing system to manage assignments, document work events, and verify customer satisfaction
- Knowledge in supporting wireless devices, including Blackberry, Android, and iPhone
- Strong understanding of Microsoft OS and applications
- Capability in installing desktop software and troubleshooting related issues
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Advanced skill set with Microsoft Windows operating systems (clients) including Windows 10, 7, Vista, XP, 2000, 98 and server versions including 2012, 2008 R2, 2008, 2003, 2000
- Functional capability with Apple OS X
- Advanced troubleshooting proficiency with hard drive encryption software
- In-depth expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly configuration issues with Outlook and Exchange
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for client-side remote access
- Demonstrated skills in supporting printers within an enterprise setting
- Advanced knowledge of client-side management tools including Microsoft Active Directory and Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Proficient in utilizing documentation and knowledge articles using Micron tools
- Disciplined and methodical problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Support Installations, Moves, Adds, Changes, and Disposal (IMACDs) as required
- Oversee installations, de-installations, cascades, and changes for all End User Computing (EUC) equipment, software, and related services at designated customer sites
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule IMACDs with all relevant IT functions, whether provided by us, retained by customers, or managed by third parties
- Ensure effective communication across internal and external functions to deliver high-quality execution of IMACs, maintain service levels, and minimize operational disruptions
- Document and recreate processes for IMAC execution for each software and/or equipment component, obtaining customer approval for these processes
- Collect and maintain a current list of individuals authorized to approve IMAC and project IMAC service requests, ensuring it is regularly updated
- Validate IMAC-related service requests from authorized users for accuracy and appropriate approval
- Address any issues with IMACD service requests by communicating with authorized users, aiming to resolve or escalate accordingly
- Coordinate with designated customer personnel or third parties regarding scheduling and requirements to reduce the impact on users
- Conduct site surveys to identify IMAC locations and any specific requirements
- Manage physical space requirements identified during the site survey
- Confirm availability of all necessary equipment, software, network components, and services on the scheduled IMAC dates
- Verify the configuration of equipment and software involved in the IMAC
- Ensure validity of installation and de-installation procedures for the IMAC, including backup and contingency protocols
- Schedule and deploy appropriate technicians and third-party vendors to the IMAC location
- Provide exceptional service to every client, strengthening relationships and engaging potentially disengaged users
- Cancel network transport services that are no longer needed upon completion of the IMACD
