Senior Data Analyst, Insider Threat Security

- Analyze internal data streams to identify and highlight suspicious activities indicative of insider threats - Utilize advanced data analytics tools and machine learning techniques to proactively detect emerging insider threats and vulnerabilities - Develop, implement, and enhance methodologies for insider threat detection in alignment with current threat landscapes - Lead investigations into potential insider threat incidents in collaboration with cross-functional teams - Coordinate with IT security teams to implement containment and mitigation strategies during and after incidents - Prepare comprehensive incident reports, summaries, and post-incident evaluations with actionable recommendations - Conduct thorough data analysis to generate insights, trends, and reports on insider threat activities - Utilize statistical analysis and data mining techniques to interpret complex datasets related to insider behavior - Prepare and deliver periodic status reports, threat analysis summaries, and risk assessments to stakeholders - Collaborate with information security, risk management, and compliance teams to bolster cybersecurity posture - Share insights and best practices with colleagues to raise awareness and enhance threat detection capabilities - Mentor junior analysts in data analysis techniques and best practices for threat detection - Assist in the creation and review of policies and procedures for insider threat detection, prevention, and response - Contribute to employee awareness programs focusing on insider threat risks and data protection - Ensure compliance of insider threat activities and investigations with relevant laws and industry standards - Participate in risk assessments and audits to ensure insider threat controls meet compliance standards
