Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years in technology solution design, with at least 5 years dedicated to supporting CDC initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of CDC programmatic technologies, particularly in surveillance systems and public health data standards.
- Proven experience with CDC data flows involving federal and state/local public health organizations.
- Familiarity with CDCs legacy systems and future technology strategies, including platforms like Palantir.
- Established relationships with CDC program-level technology stakeholders and a reputation for reliable delivery.
- Demonstrated capability to lead technical solutioning in complex, multi-stakeholder settings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills tailored for executive audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
- Experience working effectively with geographically dispersed teams.
Responsibilities
- Direct the technical solution development for CDC account pursuits, including RFP responses and solution architecture.
- Design and present comprehensive technology solutions that align with CDC program goals, especially in surveillance and public health data exchange.
- Collaborate with CDC program teams and state/local public health organizations to thoroughly understand data flows, integration points, and system interoperability needs.
- Act as the main technical liaison for CDC technology stakeholders within programmatic offices and at the enterprise level, building trust through consistent delivery.
- Ensure proposed solutions correspond with CDCs evolving technology strategies, such as legacy system modernization and the adoption of platforms like Palantir.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to create solution components, prepare cost estimates, and outline implementation plans.
- Present solutions to both internal and external executive stakeholders, including CDC leadership.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions with CDC stakeholders to refine requirements and validate solution strategies.
- Stay informed about CDC enterprise systems, including those in the OCIO organization, to enhance solution design.
- Establish delivery teams post-award, ensuring a clear vision and continuity.
