Requirements
Must:
- US Citizenship is mandatory
- Bachelors degree is essential
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in data engineering, software development, or similar roles
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, and Pyspark
- Expertise in data pipeline and ETL development
- Experience with database technologies including Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server, and MongoDB
- Strong skills in data modeling, stored procedures, and API development (RESTful, SOAP)
- Proven experience with cloud platforms: AWS (S3, Lambda, ECS, SQS) and Azure (CosmosDB, Functions)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Competence in CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Maven, Git, Bitbucket, and GitHub
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk, CloudWatch, Kibana, and Elasticsearch
- Ability to work effectively in Agile environments
- Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, especially in conveying complex technical concepts to various audiences
Responsibilities
- Lead in the construction, optimization, and maintenance of data pipelines and analytics platforms
- Design and implement robust data pipelines and ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and loading from various sources
- Develop and enhance data architectures and models to meet analytics, reporting, and operational needs
- Implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows using tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Git
- Create and deploy cloud-based solutions utilizing AWS (S3, Lambda, ECS, SQS), Azure (CosmosDB, Functions), and containerization techniques like Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with DBAs and application developers to craft and merge data models, stored procedures, and APIs
- Maintain data quality, integrity, and security through thorough validation, monitoring, and logging (e.g., Splunk, CloudWatch, Kibana)
- Assist in data migration, integration, and modernization efforts, including updates to legacy systems and cloud transitions
- Diagnose and resolve issues in production settings, ensuring system availability and reliability
- Document data flows, processes, and technical solutions for compliance and knowledge sharing
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, cloud computing, and DevOps
