Must:
I am looking for a candidate who possesses an active and maintained TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance; you must upgrade and maintain a TS/SCI with a counterintelligence (CI) polygraph. I require a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience. You should demonstrate a solid background in developing visualizations and conducting data analysis, as well as experience utilizing computer programs, software, or coding languages.
Responsibilities
In this Data Scientist position, you will work within our Data & AI consulting team to support data visualization, business analytics, data management, and digital engineering processes for major Program Executive Offices (PEOs) at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). An in-depth understanding of data visualization is crucial as you assist PEOs in effectively monitoring their operations through reporting dashboards, tools, and the creation of data sets. Your role will involve integrating, developing, and maintaining analytical visualizations to communicate office status and operations. You will work with a variety of data sources, including Jira, Excel, and SQL databases, to create visualizations that maximize analytical insights. Additionally, you will interpret data to measure the performance of major technology programs and communicate those findings to senior leaders, aiding in critical decision-making. Your responsibilities will also include using storytelling techniques and user interface design to develop intuitive Tableau dashboards, managing a backlog of analytic products, and demoing visualizations to leadership while soliciting feedback for enhancements. You will play a key role in evolving program analytics with automation and connecting unstructured data sources to enterprise solutions.
Description
What would be advantageous to have includes experience in developing visualizations in Tableau and the ability to identify methods to enhance analytical capacity proactively. Familiarity with commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) statistical software or tools for data visualization (e.g., SPSS, SAS, MatLab), data mining, Python, MySQL, D3, SPSS, SAS, Visual Basic, or R would also be beneficial. I value effective communication skills in conveying the importance of statistical and data science methods to various stakeholders, as well as participation in a culture of knowledge sharing. Understanding or experience in developing AI/ML applications or working with AI platform tools would be an asset.
