Requirements

Must:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust security clearance. Candidates need to achieve approved adjudication of clearance prior to joining our team. - A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields. - A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience, including at least three (3) years in Appian development. - Active Appian Senior Developer certifications with the ability to secure additional relevant certifications upon hiring. - Strong knowledge of the Appian platform, including Appian SAIL, Process Modeler, and Rules. - Proficiency in Java, SQL, and web services. - Comprehensive understanding of Appian development best practices. - Skills in relational database architecture, management, and scripting. - Ability to design and integrate business processes across different systems using best practices. - Solid understanding of Java and web technologies with experience in designing user interfaces. - Familiarity with UX best practices and accessibility standards. - Candidates must be available to work Eastern Standard Hours.

Responsibilities

- As a Senior Appian Developer, I will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining Appian applications. - I will utilize my expertise in Appian's platform architecture to translate complex business requirements into functional application components. - I will collaborate with clients to comprehend their business needs and provide effective Appian solutions. - Designing and implementing sophisticated business processes using Appian is a key part of my role. - I will build, test, deliver, and maintain intelligent automation solutions using Appian and work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes. - I will tackle ambiguous problems and situations, while implementing best practices for Appian development and integration with other systems. - Supporting the development of technical documentation and user manuals will be included in my tasks as well as participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality code delivery. - Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers will be essential, along with contributing to thought leadership and the design of new accelerators for the platform. - I will stay abreast of new Appian product capabilities following product releases and acquisitions, and help develop new concepts and methodologies to enhance people, procedures, and technology solutions. - I will apply UX principles to enhance user satisfaction and engagement across Appian applications, collaborating with UI/UX designers to convert wireframes and prototypes into functional components.

It would be advantageous to have strong problem-solving abilities, multitasking skills, and a high degree of emotional intelligence. Interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation, are essential, along with attention to detail and the capability to quickly adapt and apply new concepts and technologies. Experience in a technology or consulting environment, particularly within an agile development framework, is valuable. A background in identifying and documenting business process requirements and developing process flow analysis is helpful as well. Familiarity with Appian's Federal Acquisition Management, Enterprise Application Integration, and n-tier client-server architectures is desirable. Furthermore, having a proactive approach to adopting new Appian platform features and experience collaborating with UI/UX teams would be beneficial. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $216,000.00, determined by a variety of factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and organizational needs.
