Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 5 years in a consultative, vendor, or operational role focused on security, assessing architectures and programs
- Expertise in multiple security technologies, including network security, NGFW, cloud security, data security, vulnerability management, and IAM
- Proficient in operating systems such as Windows, OSX, and Linux
- Strong listening skills to identify client security gaps and provide effective solutions
- Proactive in researching and engaging with new vendors and technologies to address client challenges
- Experience collaborating to create new service offerings and supporting materials
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Initiative in enhancing business operations, improving existing offerings, and developing new services
- Capability to produce comprehensive business and technical documentation tailored to various audiences
- Ability to work remotely, requiring travel of 15-25% for client meetings and events
- This role emphasizes 85% presales engineering and 15% consultation and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business in collaboration with Account Executives within the designated territory
- Collaborate with a team to guide the engineering of cybersecurity solution offerings
- Offer business and security program recommendations to achieve client goals
- Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity technologies and effectively communicate their value to customers
- Engage in Sales and Marketing events to promote GuidePoints services and solutions
- Participate in industry conferences and forums to represent GuidePoint
- Encourage technology adoption among existing customers
- Develop Statements of Work and proposals for engineering services offered by GuidePoint
- Report directly to the VP of Security Architecture for the Mid-Atlantic region.
