Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in delivering IT support services.
- At least one technical certification such as Microsoft MCSA, Microsoft MTA, or CompTIA A+.
- Knowledge of business desktop applications, server operating systems, local area networks, firewalls, remote connectivity, and IP phone systems.
- Extensive experience in a Windows Server environment.
- Familiarity with at least one of the following: Office 365, Microsoft Exchange Server, Terminal Services, Active Directory, or Microsoft Server in a VMware virtualized environment.
- Hands-on experience with networking and remote connectivity tools such as Cisco switches, FortiNet firewalls, and IP phone systems.
- Direct experience with SAN solutions, including HPE Nimble Storage.
- A willingness to relocate to Richmond, VA.
- A passion for technology and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the community.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Oversee the daily support, maintenance, and management of the IT infrastructure for GroundForce IT clients, ensuring high availability and service levels for business users. This may involve working with enterprise servers, network devices, network security, and related applications.
- Assist users with service requests, monitor networks, and execute large-scale implementations.
- Contribute to the team knowledge base by documenting procedures, designs, implementation plans, and other technical documentation.
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Analyze available information, collaborate with clients to identify deficiencies, and formulate recommendations for client approval.
- Estimate the effort and complexity of tasks while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Provide after-hours support or on-call assistance when necessary for significant projects or implementations.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with the client base to foster broader collaborations.
- Adapt to various business environments, from informal office settings to expansive IT service departments.
