Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Consideration for extensive work experience in lieu of formal education.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in project management.
- Proven experience in developing and managing project schedules, mitigating risks, controlling project scope, and adhering to standard project management practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively guiding cross-functional teams.
- Strong aptitude for managing multiple initiatives, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with project management tools, methods, and practices; experience with Microsoft Project is advantageous.
- Required experience in leading software and/or IT projects, with a strong preference for proven capability in Agile methodologies.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee resources and outputs related to project tasks, timelines, scope, risks, and any acceptance criteria, updating project documentation as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and formulate effective risk mitigation strategies along with contingency plans. Proactively address challenges as they arise and provide guidance on resolution to keep team momentum.
- Prioritize tasks to achieve project objectives, assigning work among various teams and ensuring timely and successful completion. Offer support in managing competing priorities by providing resources, assistance, and tools to tackle constraints.
- Drive decision-making crucial for project success among a diverse range of stakeholders. This includes organizing meetings, managing working sessions, and clarifying requirements and deadlines.
- Track project milestones and key metrics. Use data to inform leadership about our ongoing progress and assist in future decision-making by preparing status reports through gathering, analyzing, and summarizing pertinent information from various sources.
- Support communication and change management efforts by serving as the central point of contact for project-related communication. Collaborate with team members to ensure change management initiatives are relevant and promote desired outcomes.
