Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator
- In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture and performance tuning
- Expertise in backup and recovery techniques as well as query optimization
- Experience working in open-source/Linux environments, particularly RHEL
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Strong analytical and communication abilities
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage PostgreSQL databases
- Monitor performance metrics and refine queries for optimization
- Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery methodologies
- Maintain database security and ensure data integrity
- Work in collaboration with developers on schema design, indexing, and stored procedures
- Assist with system upgrades, data migrations, and capacity assessments
- Diagnose and resolve database-related problems
- Document procedures, configurations, and system changes
